Symptom:Loss of diamond segment Cause:a.diamond core drill bit too hard for the material it is drilling, causing it to pound and fatigue. b.Overheating due to insufficient water for cooling and flushing. c.Machine setup is not rigid or loose material is in the cut and the bit segment hangs. d.Shooting cable, when drilling pre-stress. Remedy:a.Use a softer bond for diamond core drill bit if possible. Increase motor RPM if possible. b. Increase water flow to where slurry is milky and flows easily. c.Tighten anchor, check vacuum system for proper vacuum pressure. d.Use a bit with more segments, such as a pre-stressed diamond core bit Concrete core drill bit

Diamond hole saws are also called diamond core drill bits . 1. Laser welded diamond core drill bits can be used in wet and dry drilling, but not all materials to be drilled are suitable for dry drilling. Very hard materials like reinforced concrete, normally should be drilled with water, otherwise the excessive heat generated during the drilling process may cause the diamonds on the core bit to become blunt, and then lead to poor drilling performance. The situation is just like concrete diamond blades for reinforced concrete cutting. 2.
